तेन मध्यम कनिष्ठौ व्याख्यातौ ॥
The same rule shall hold good with the middlemost and youngest sons.
english translation
tena madhyama kaniSThau vyAkhyAtau ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतयोर् मानुष उपेतो ज्येष्ठ अंशाद् अर्धं लभेत ॥
of these two, one who is endowed with manliness (mánushopetah), shall have half the special share usually given to the eldest.
english translation
tayor mAnuSa upeto jyeSTha aMzAd ardhaM labheta ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनाना स्त्री पुत्राणां तु संस्कृत असंस्कृतयोः कन्या कृत क्षतयोर् अभावे च एकस्याः पुत्रयोर् यमयोर् वा पूर्व जन्मना ज्येष्ठ भावः ॥
With regard to sons of many wives:-- Of sons of two wives of whom only one woman has gone through all the necessary religious ceremonials, or both of whom have not, as maidens, observed necessary religious rites, or one of whom has brought forth twins, it is by birth that primogenitureship is decided.

nAnA strI putrANAM tu saMskRta asaMskRtayoH kanyA kRta kSatayor abhAve ca ekasyAH putrayor yamayor vA pUrva janmanA jyeSTha bhAvaH ॥

The division of power among charioteers, bards, outcasts, and chariot-makers.

sUta mAgadha vrAtya ratha kArANAm aizvaryato vibhAgaH ॥

The others shall live under him.
