क्षुद्र पशूनां काष्ठ आदिभिर् दुःख उत्पादने पणो द्वि गुणो वा दण्डः, शोणित उत्पादने द्वि गुणः ॥
For causing pain with sticks, etc., to minor quadrupeds one or two panas shall be levied; and for causing blood to the same, the fine shall be doubled.
english translation
kSudra pazUnAM kASTha Adibhir duHkha utpAdane paNo dvi guNo vA daNDaH, zoNita utpAdane dvi guNaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptमहा पशूनाम् एतेष्व् एव स्थानेष्व् द्वि गुणो दण्डः समुत्थान व्ययश् च ॥
In the case of large quadrupeds, not only double the above fines, but also an adequate compensation necessary to cure the beasts shall be levied.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुर उपवन वनस्पतीनां पुष्प फलच् छायावतां प्ररोहच् छेदने षट् पणः, क्षुद्र शाखाच् छेदने द्वादश पणः, पीन शाखाच् च्छेदने चतुर् विंशति पणः, स्कन्ध वधे पूर्वः साहस दण्डः, समुच्छित्तौ मध्यमः ॥
For cutting off the tender sprouts of fruit-trees, flower-trees or shady trees in the parks near a city, a fine of 6 panas shall be imposed; for cutting off the minor branches of the same trees, 12 panas; and for cutting off the big branches, 24 panas shall be levied. Cutting off the trunks of the same shall be punished with the first amercement; and felling the same shall be punished with the middle-most amercement.

pura upavana vanaspatInAM puSpa phalac chAyAvatAM prarohac chedane SaT paNaH, kSudra zAkhAc chedane dvAdaza paNaH, pIna zAkhAc cchedane catur viMzati paNaH, skandha vadhe pUrvaH sAhasa daNDaH, samucchittau madhyamaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुष्प फलच् छायावद् गुल्म लतास्व् अर्ध दण्डाः, पुण्य स्थान तपो वन श्मशान द्रुमेषु च ॥
In the case of plants which bear flowers, fruits, or provide shade, half of the above fines shall be levied. The same fines shall be levied in the case of trees that have grown in places of pilgrimage, forests of hermits, or cremation or burial grounds.

puSpa phalac chAyAvad gulma latAsv ardha daNDAH, puNya sthAna tapo vana zmazAna drumeSu ca ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसीम वृक्षेषु चैत्येषु द्रुमेष्व् आलक्षितेषु च । त एव द्वि गुणा दण्डाः कार्या राज वनेषु च ॥
For similar offences committed in connection with the trees which mark boundaries, or which are worshipped or observed (chaityeshválakshiteshucha,) or trees which are grown in the king's forests, double the above fines shall be levied.
