एतेषाम् एकः पुरीषे मूत्रे वा निखात आनाहं करोति, पदे अस्य आसने वा निखातः शोषेण मारयति, आपणे क्षेत्रे गृहे वा वृत्तिच् छेदं करोति ॥
When one of these pieces is put in the feces or urine (of an enemy), it causes (his) body to grow in size (ánáha); and when the same piece is buried under the feet or seat (of an enemy), it causes death by consumption; and when it is buried in the shop, fields, or the house (of an enemy), it causes him loss of livelihood.
english translation
eteSAm ekaH purISe mUtre vA nikhAta AnAhaM karoti, pade asya Asane vA nikhAtaH zoSeNa mArayati, ApaNe kSetre gRhe vA vRttic chedaM karoti ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएतेन एव कल्पेन विद्युद् दग्धस्य वृक्षस्य कीलका व्याख्याताः ॥
The same process of smearing and burying holds good with the bolt-like pieces (kílaka) prepared from vidyuddanda tree.

etena eva kalpena vidyud dagdhasya vRkSasya kIlakA vyAkhyAtAH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपुनर् नवम् अवाचीनं निम्बः काम मधुश् च यः । कपि रोम मनुष्य अस्थि बद्ध्वा मृतक वाससा ॥
When the nail of the little finger (punarnavam aváchínam ?) nimba (nimba melia), káma (bdellium), madhu (celtis orientalis), the hair of a monkey, and the bone of a man, all wound round with the garment of a dead man.
english translation
punar navam avAcInaM nimbaH kAma madhuz ca yaH । kapi roma manuSya asthi baddhvA mRtaka vAsasA ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनिखन्यते गृहे यस्य दृष्ट्वा वा यत् पदं नयेत् । सपुत्र दारः सधन स्त्रीन् पक्षान् न अतिवर्तते ॥
Is buried in the house of, or is trodden down by, a man, that man with his wife, children and wealth will not survive three fortnights.

nikhanyate gRhe yasya dRSTvA vA yat padaM nayet । saputra dAraH sadhana strIn pakSAn na ativartate ॥
