Arthashastra
निखन्यते गृहे यस्य दृष्ट्वा वा यत् पदं नयेत् । सपुत्र दारः सधन स्त्रीन् पक्षान् न अतिवर्तते ॥
Is buried in the house of, or is trodden down by, a man, that man with his wife, children and wealth will not survive three fortnights.
english translation
nikhanyate gRhe yasya dRSTvA vA yat padaM nayet । saputra dAraH sadhana strIn pakSAn na ativartate ॥
