वैद्युतं भस्म अङ्गि शमनम् ॥
Ashes caused by lightning quench the fire.

vaidyutaM bhasma aGgi zamanam ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस्त्री पुष्प पायिता माषा व्रजकुली मूलं मण्डूक वसा मिश्रं चुल्लुयां दीप्तायाम् अपाचनम् ॥
When, in a fireplace, kidney beans (másha) wetted with the menstrual fluid of a woman, as well as the roots of vajra (andropogon muricatum) and kadali (banana), wetted with the serum of the flesh of a frog are kept, no grains can be cooked there.

strI puSpa pAyitA mASA vrajakulI mUlaM maNDUka vasA mizraM culluyAM dIptAyAm apAcanam ॥

hk transliteration by Sanscriptपीलुमयो मणिर् अग्नि गर्भः सुवर्चला मूल ग्रन्थिः सूत्र ग्रन्थिर् वा पिचु परिवेष्टितो मुख्याद् अग्नि धूम उत्सर्गः ॥
By keeping in the mouth a ball-like piece of pilu (careya arberea) or a knot of the root of linseed tree (suvarchala) with fire inserted within the mass of the ball and wound round with threads and cotton (pichu), volumes of smoke and fire can be breathed out.

pIlumayo maNir agni garbhaH suvarcalA mUla granthiH sUtra granthir vA picu pariveSTito mukhyAd agni dhUma utsargaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकुश आम्र फल तैल सिक्तो अग्निर् वर्ष प्रवातेषु ज्वलति ॥
When the oil extracted from the fruits of kusa (ficus religiosa) and ámra (mango) is poured over the fire, it burns even in the storm.
