भोगं दायमायं व्ययम् आयतिं च गणिकाया निबन्धयेत्, अति व्यय कर्म च वारयेत् ॥

The superintendent shall determine the earnings, inheritance, income (áya), expenditure, and future earnings (áyati) of every prostitute. He shall also check their extravagant expenditure.
