एत एव मणि मध्यास् तन् माणवका भवन्ति ॥
The same necklaces with a gem at the centre are called by the same names with the words 'Mánavaka' suffixed to their respective names.

eta eva maNi madhyAs tan mANavakA bhavanti ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptएक शीर्षकः शुद्धो हारः ॥
When all the strings making up a necklace are of sirshaka pattern, it is called pure necklace (suddhahára).

eka zIrSakaH zuddho hAraH ॥

likewise with strings of other pattern.

That which contains a gem in the centre is (also) called Ardhamánavaka.

maNi madhyo ardha mANavakaH ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptत्रि फलकः फलक हारः, पञ्च फलको वा ॥
That which contains three slab-like gems (triphalaka) or five slab-like gems (panchaphalaka) in the centre is termed Phalakahára.

tri phalakaH phalaka hAraH, paJca phalako vA ॥
