विषघ्नैरगदैः स्पृष्टं प्रोक्षितं व्यजनोदकैः | सिद्धैर्मन्त्रैर्हतविषं सिद्धमन्नं निवेदयेत् ||४४८||

The food, touched by poisons or diseases, should be sprinkled with water and offered by experts who have performed the necessary rituals and mantras to purify it. Such food should be served after ensuring its safety.

english translation

जो भोजन विषों या रोगों से स्पर्शित हो, उसे पानी से छिड़ककर और सिद्धों द्वारा मंत्रों के साथ शुद्ध किया जाना चाहिए। ऐसा भोजन सुरक्षित होने की पुष्टि के बाद प्रस्तुत किया जाना चाहिए।
