दीपनं कालशाकं तु गरदोषहरं कटु । कौसुम्भं मधुरं रूक्षमुष्णं श्लेष्महरं लघु ॥२७२॥
Kala-shaka is stimulating, pungent, and helps remove toxins. Kausumbha is sweet, dry, hot, light, and reduces Kapha.
