लघुः पाके च जन्तुघ्नः पिच्छिलो व्रणिनां हितः । कषायमधुरो ग्राही चुच्चूस्तेषां त्रिदोषहा ॥२५१॥
Light in digestion and beneficial for worms, pichchhila (slimy) is useful for wounds. Astringent and sweet in taste, chuchchu (the plant) is a tridosha (balancer of all three doshas) remedy.
