शालयश्छिन्नरूढा ये रूक्षास्ते बद्धवर्चसः | तिक्ताः कषायाः पित्तघ्ना लघुपाकाः कफापहाः ||१९||

sanskrit

"Rice that is broken and well-cooked, though dry, has good qualities. It is bitter, astringent, alleviates Pitta, is light to digest, and reduces Kapha."

english translation

"जो चावल चूर्णित और अच्छी तरह पकाया गया हो, वह सूखा होने पर भी गुणकारी होता है। यह तिक्त, कषाय है, पित्त को शांत करता है, पचने में हल्का होता है, और कफ को कम करता है।"
