Sushruta Samhita
शुक्लाक्षमन्नद्वेष्टारमूर्ध्वश्वासनिपीडितम् । कृच्छ्रेण बहु मेहन्तं यक्ष्मा हन्तीह मानवम् ॥२०॥
A person suffering from phthisis (Yakshma) who has white eyes, has no aversion to food, is troubled by upward breathlessness, and experiences difficulty in urination and excessive urine, will be destroyed by the disease.
english translation
वह व्यक्ति जो यक्ष्मा (क्षय रोग) से पीड़ित है, जिसकी आंखें सफेद हैं, भोजन के प्रति कोई अरुचि नहीं है, ऊपर की ओर सांस की तकलीफ से परेशान है, और जिसे मूत्र त्याग में कठिनाई और अत्यधिक मूत्र का अनुभव हो रहा है, वह रोग द्वारा नष्ट हो जाएगा।
