भवन्ति चात्र- चिकित्स्यमानः सम्यक् च विकारो योऽभिवर्धते । प्रक्षीणबलमांसस्य लक्षणं तद्गतायुषः ॥५॥

In this context, the following is a sign of a patient whose condition is likely to lead to a shortened lifespan: When a patient, who is being treated correctly, shows a progression of the disease, especially when accompanied by reduced strength and emaciation of tissues, it indicates a serious prognosis and a reduced lifespan.

यहाँ निम्नलिखित लक्षण हैं जो यह संकेत देते हैं कि रोगी की आयु घटने की संभावना है: जब एक रोगी, जो सही उपचार प्राप्त कर रहा हो, रोग के बढ़ने का संकेत दिखाता है, विशेषकर जब साथ में शक्ति में कमी और शरीर के अंगों का पतला होना भी देखा जाता है, तो यह गंभीर पूर्वानुमान और घटित आयु को दर्शाता है।
