Sushruta Samhita
वैद्यासनावसादो वा रोगी वा स्यादधोमुखः । वैद्यं सम्भाषमाणोऽङ्गं कुड्यमास्तरणानि वा ॥५०॥
"A physician's seat, or a patient lying in a head-down position, or a person conversing with the physician while in a bed, are considered inauspicious if they are on a cot or have coverings."
