विसृजत्यात्मनाऽऽत्मानं न चैनं परिशङ्कते ॥ तस्मात् पुत्रवदेवैनं पालयेदातुरं भिषक् ॥४४॥
A physician should treat the patient with the same care as one would treat one's own child, without any suspicion. Therefore, the physician should take care of the patient just as a parent would care for their child.

चिकित्सक को रोगी की देखभाल उसी तरह करनी चाहिए जैसे एक माता-पिता अपने बच्चे की देखभाल करते हैं, बिना किसी संदेह के। इसलिए, चिकित्सक को रोगी की देखभाल पुत्र की तरह करनी चाहिए।
