The verse mentions the procedure for treating a condition using kshara (alkali). It says that after applying the kshara and burning (or cauterizing) the affected area like with other types of kshara, the area should be allowed to discharge (drain). Further details about the procedure are discussed in another context or section ("tasya vistaro'nyatra"), meaning the detailed procedure is explained elsewhere.
