Sushruta Samhita
त एते स्वभावत एव दोषाणां सञ्चयप्रकोपप्रशमप्रतीकारहेतवः प्रयोजनवन्तश्च ॥३४॥
"These (factors) are inherently causes of the accumulation, aggravation, pacification, and remedy of the doshas (humors) and are useful for their management."
