The venerable Acharya, the all-knowing, spoke to his disciple, detailing the entire characteristics of Vidradhi (abscess).

त्वग्रक्तमांसमेदांसि प्रदूष्यास्थिसमाश्रिताः । दोषाः शोफं शनैर्घोरं जनयन्त्युच्छ्रिता भृशम् ॥४॥
The deranged Doshas, vitiating the skin, blood, flesh, and fat, gradually produce a severe and terrible swelling.
