Sushruta Samhita
स्फोटैः सतोदैर्वदनं समन्ताद्यस्याचितं सर्वसरः स वातात् । रक्तैः सदाहैस्तनुभिः सपीतैर्यस्याचितं चापि स पित्तकोपात् ॥६५॥
The face, surrounded by the swelling (sphota) caused by Vata, is filled with the fluid from all sides; when filled with blood, it indicates an increase in Pitta.

वात से उत्पन्न स्फोट से घिरी हुई चेहरा, सभी दिशाओं से तरल से भरी होती है; जब यह रक्त से भरी होती है, तो यह पित्त की वृद्धि का संकेत देती है।
