कृष्णानि चित्राण्यथवा शूकानि सविषाणि च | पातितानि पचन्त्याशु मेढ्रं निरवशेषतः ||१६||

Blackish or variegated (shuka) insects with spikes, when crushed, quickly digest the flesh completely without leaving any residue.

कालानि भूत्वा मांसानि शीर्यन्ते यस्य देहिनः | सन्निपातसमुत्थानं तं विद्यात्तिलकालकम् ||१७||

The flesh of the person becomes weak and decays due to the effects of time. This condition arising from the aggravation of the three doshas is known as Tilakalaka.

Among these, the conditions known as Mansarvuda, Mansapaka, and Vidradhi are considered as Tilakalaka, and they do not heal.
