अष्ठीलावद्घनं ग्रन्थिमूर्ध्वमायतमुन्नतम् । वाताष्ठीलां विजानीयाद्बहिर्मार्गावरोधिनीम् ॥९०॥
A swollen and raised lump that extends upwards, located on the top of the limbs, is identified as a condition caused by Vāta, known as "Vāta-ṣṭhīlā," and it obstructs the external passages.

एक सूजन और ऊँचा उठे हुए गांठ जो अंगों के शीर्ष पर स्थित हो, उसे वात से उत्पन्न होने वाली स्थिति के रूप में पहचाना जाता है, जिसे 'वात-ष्ठीला' कहा जाता है, और यह बाहरी मार्गों को अवरुद्ध करता है।
