यास्तीक्ष्णचण्डोग्रविषा हि लूतास्ताः सप्तरात्रेण नरं निहन्युः । अतोऽधिकेनापि निहन्युरन्या यासां विषं मध्यमवीर्यमुक्तम् ॥८३॥
The severe and intense poisons of lice (luta) cause death to a person within seven nights. However, the poisons of other creatures, with a moderate potency, can also kill, though it may take longer.
english translation
जूँ (लूटा) का ज़हर बहुत तेज़ होता है और सात रातों में ही व्यक्ति की मौत हो जाती है। हालाँकि, मध्यम शक्ति वाले अन्य जीवों के ज़हर भी व्यक्ति को मार सकते हैं, हालाँकि इसमें अधिक समय लग सकता है।
