तया स्थितिविमर्दार्धग्रासाद्यम् तु यथोदितम् । प्रमाणम् वलनाभीष्टग्रासादि हिमरश्मिवत्॥

(In the solar eclipse) through the apparent latitude of the Moon (just found) find the sthityardha[1] mardardha magnitude of the eclipse &c. as mentioned before: the valaná, the eclipsed portion of the disc at any assigned time &c. are found by the rule mentioned in the Chapter on the lunar eclipses.

tayA sthitivimardArdhagrAsAdyam tu yathoditam । pramANam valanAbhISTagrAsAdi himarazmivat॥
