मन्दस्फुटीकृताम् भुक्तिम् प्रोज्झ्य शीघ्रोच्चभुक्तितः । तच्छेशम् विवरेणाथ हन्यात् त्रिज्यान्त्यकर्णयोः॥

Subtract the manda-sphuta diurnal motion of a (minor) planet from its śíghrochcha's diurnal motion, and multiply the remainder by the difference between the radius[1] and the 2nd hypothenuse found in the 4th operation for finding the 2nd equation.

mandasphuTIkRtAm bhuktim projjhya zIghroccabhuktitaH । tacchezam vivareNAtha hanyAt trijyAntyakarNayoH॥
