भगीरथः स राजर्षिर्निन्ये भुवनपावनीम् । यत्र स्वपितॄणां देहा भस्मीभूताः स्म शेरते ॥ ९-९-१० ॥

sanskrit

The great and saintly king Bhagīratha brought the Ganges, which can deliver all the fallen souls, to that place on earth where the bodies of his forefathers lay burnt to ashes. ॥ 9-9-10 ॥

english translation

महान् एवं साधु राजा भगीरथ समस्त पतितात्माओं का उद्धार करने वाली गंगाजी को पृथ्वी पर उस स्थान में ले गये जहाँ उनके पितरों के शरीर भस्म होकर पड़े हुए थे। ॥ ९-९-१० ॥

bhagIrathaH sa rAjarSirninye bhuvanapAvanIm । yatra svapitRRNAM dehA bhasmIbhUtAH sma zerate ॥ 9-9-10 ॥
