रथीतरस्याप्रजस्य भार्यायां तन्तवेऽर्थितः । अङ्गिरा जनयामास ब्रह्मवर्चस्विनः सुतान् ॥ ९-६-२ ॥
Rathītara had no sons, and therefore he requested the great sage Aṅgirā to beget sons for him. Because of this request, Aṅgirā begot sons in the womb of Rathītara’s wife. All these sons were born with brahminical prowess. ॥ 9-6-2 ॥
english translation
रथीतर नि:सन्तान था अतएव उसने अंगिरा ऋषि से पुत्र उत्पन्न करने के लिए प्रार्थना की। इस प्रार्थना के फलस्वरूप अंगिरा ने रथीतर की पत्नी के गर्भ से पुत्र उत्पन्न कराये। ये सारे पुत्र ब्राह्मण तेज से सम्पन्न थे। ॥ ९-६-२ ॥
