Srimad Bhagavatam
प्राहिणोत्साधुविप्रेभ्यो गृहेषु न्यर्बुदानि षट् । भोजयित्वा द्विजानग्रे स्वाद्वन्नं गुणवत्तमम् ॥ ९-४-३४ ॥
After giving these cows, the King first sumptuously fed all the brāhmaṇas, and when they were fully satisfied, he was about to observe the end of Ekādaśī, with their permission, by breaking the fast. ॥ 9-4-34 ॥
english translation
इन गौवों का दान देने के बाद राजा ने सर्वप्रथम सारे ब्राह्मणों को पेटभर भोजन कराया और जब वे पूरी तरह संतुष्ट हो गये तो वे उनकी आज्ञा से एकादशी व्रत तोडक़र उस का पारण करने वाले थे। ॥ ९-४-३४ ॥
