पृषध्रस्तु मनोः पुत्रो गोपालो गुरुणा कृतः । पालयामास गा यत्तो रात्र्यां वीरासनव्रतः ॥ ९-२-३ ॥
Among these sons, Pṛṣadhra, following the order of his spiritual master, was engaged as a protector of cows. He would stand all night with a sword to give the cows protection. ॥ 9-2-3 ॥

इन पुत्रों में से पृषध्र अपने गुरु की आज्ञा का पालन करते हुए गायों की रखवाली में लग गया। गायों की रक्षा के लिए वह सारी रात हाथ में तलवार लिए खड़ा रहता। ॥ ९-२-३ ॥
