एते हीक्ष्वाकुभूपाला अतीताः श‍ृण्वनागतान् । बृहद्बलस्य भविता पुत्रो नाम बृहद्रणः ॥ ९-१२-९ ॥

All these kings in the dynasty of Ikṣvāku have passed away. Now please listen as I describe the kings who will be born in the future. From Bṛhadbala will come Bṛhadraṇa. ॥ 9-12-9 ॥

english translation

ये सारे राजा इक्ष्वाकु वंश में हो चुके हैं। अब उन राजाओं के नाम सुनो जो भविष्य में होंगे। बृहद्बल से बृहद्रण का जन्म होगा। ॥ ९-१२-९ ॥
