आचार्याय ददौ शेषां यावती भूस्तदन्तरा । मन्यमान इदं कृत्स्नं ब्राह्मणोऽर्हति निःस्पृहः ॥ ९-११-३ ॥
Thereafter, thinking that because the brāhmaṇas have no material desires they should possess the entire world, Lord Rāmacandra delivered the land between the east, west, north and south to the ācārya. ॥ 9-11-3 ॥
english translation
तत्पश्चात् यह सोचकर कि ब्राह्मण लोग निष्काम होते हैं अतएव उन्हें ही सारे जगत का स्वामी होना चाहिए, भगवान् रामचन्द्र ने पूर्व, पश्चिम, उत्तर तथा दक्षिण के बीच की भूमि आचार्य को दे दी। ॥ ९-११-३ ॥
