यमस्य देवस्य न दण्डभङ्गः कुतश्चनर्षे श्रुतपूर्व आसीत् । एतन्मुने वृश्चति लोकसंशयं न हि त्वदन्य इति मे विनिश्चितम् ॥ ६-३-२ ॥
O great sage, never before has it been heard anywhere that an order from Yamarāja has been baffled. Therefore I think that people will have doubts about this that no one but you can eradicate. Since that is my firm conviction, kindly explain the reasons for these events. ॥ 6-3-2 ॥

हे महर्षि! इसके पूर्व यह कहीं भी सुनाई नहीं पड़ा कि यमराज के आदेश का उल्लंघन हुआ हो। इसलिए मैं सोचता हूँ कि लोगों को इस पर सन्देह होगा जिसका उन्मूलन अन्य कोई नहीं, अपितु आप ही कर सकते हैं। चूँकि ऐसी मेरी दृढ़ धारणा है, इसलिए कृपा करके इन घटनाओं के कारणों की व्याख्या करें। ॥ ६-३-२ ॥
