तांस्ते वेदितुमिच्छामो यदि नो मन्यसे क्षमम् । नारायणेत्यभिहिते मा भैरित्याययुर्द्रुतम् ॥ ६-३-१० ॥
As soon as the sinful Ajāmila uttered the name Nārāyaṇa, these four beautiful men immediately arrived and reassured him, saying, “Do not fear. Do not fear.” We wish to know about them from Your Lordship. If you think we are able to understand them, kindly describe who they are. ॥ 6-3-10 ॥

ज्योंही पापी अजामिल ने नारायण नाम का उच्चारण किया, ये चारों सुन्दर व्यक्ति तुरन्त वहाँ आ गये और यह कहकर उसे पुन: आश्वस्त किया, “डरो मत। मत डरो।” हम आपसे उनके विषय में जानना चाहते हैं। यदि आप यह सोचते हैं कि हम उनके विषय में जान सकते हैं, तो कृपा करके बताइये कि वे कौन हैं। ॥ ६-३-१० ॥
