अण्डमध्यगतः सूर्यो द्यावाभूम्योर्यदन्तरम् । सूर्याण्डगोलयोर्मध्ये कोट्यः स्युः पञ्चविंशतिः ।। ५-२०-४३ ।।

sanskrit

The sun is situated [vertically] in the middle of the universe, in the area between Bhūrloka and Bhuvarloka, which is called antarikṣa, outer space. The distance between the sun and the circumference of the universe is twenty-five koṭi yojanas [two billion miles]. ।। 5-20-43 ।।

english translation

सूर्य इस ब्रह्माण्ड के मध्य में, भूर्लोक तथा भुवर्लोक के मध्यवर्ती भाग में स्थित है, जिसे अन्तरिक्ष कहते हैं। सूर्य तथा ब्रह्माण्ड की परिधि के बीच की दूरी पच्चीस कोटि योजन (३ अरब मील) है। ।। ५-२०-४३ ।‌।
