आग्नीध्रसुतास्ते मातुरनुग्रहादौत्पत्तिकेनैव संहननबलोपेताः पित्रा विभक्ता आत्मतुल्यनामानि यथाभागं जम्बूद्वीपवर्षाणि बुभुजुः ॥ ५-२-२१ ॥
Because of drinking the breast milk of their mother, the nine sons of Āgnīdhra naturally had strong, well-built bodies. Their father gave them each a kingdom in a different part of Jambūdvīpa. The kingdoms were named according to the names of the sons. Thus the sons of Āgnīdhra ruled the kingdoms they received from their father. ॥ 5-2-21 ॥

अपनी माँ का दूध पीने के कारण आग्नीध्र के नवों पुत्र अत्यन्त बलिष्ठ एवं सुगठित शरीर वाले हुए। उनके पिता ने प्रत्येक को जम्बूद्वीप का एक-एक भाग दे दिया। इन राज्यों के नाम पुत्रों के नामों के अनुसार पड़े। इस प्रकार आग्नीध्र के सभी पुत्र पिता से प्राप्त राज्यों पर राज्य करने लगे। ॥ ५-२-२१ ॥

आग्नीध्रो राजातृप्तः कामानामप्सरसमेवानुदिनमधिमन्यमानस्तस्याः सलोकतां श्रुतिभिरवारुन्ध यत्र पितरो मादयन्ते ॥ ५-२-२२ ॥
After Pūrvacitti’s departure, King Āgnīdhra, his lusty desires not at all satisfied, always thought of her. Therefore, in accordance with the Vedic injunctions, the King, after his death, was promoted to the same planet as his celestial wife. That planet, which is called Pitṛloka, is where the pitās, the forefathers, live in great delight. ॥ 5-2-22 ॥

पूर्वचित्ति के चले जाने पर, अतृप्त वासना के कारण राजा आग्नीध्र उसी के विषय में सोचते रहते। अत: वैदिक आज्ञाओं के अनुसार राजा मृत्यु के पश्चात् उसी लोक में गये जहाँ उनकी पत्नी थी। यह लोक पितृलोक कहलाता है जहाँ कि पितरगण अत्यन्त आनन्द से रहते हैं। ॥ ५-२-२२ ॥

सम्परेते पितरि नव भ्रातरो मेरुदुहितॄर्मेरुदेवीं प्रतिरूपामुग्रदंष्ट्रीं लतां रम्यां श्यामां नारीं भद्रां देववीतिमिति संज्ञा नवोदवहन् ॥ ५-२-२३ ॥
After the departure of their father, the nine brothers married the nine daughters of Meru named Merudevī, Pratirūpā, Ugradaṁṣṭrī, Latā, Ramyā, Śyāmā, Nārī, Bhadrā and Devavīti. ॥ 5-2-23 ॥

अपने पिता के प्रयाण के पश्चात् नवों भाइयों ने मेरु की नौ पुत्रियों के साथ विवाह कर लिया, जिनके नाम मेरुदेवी, प्रतिरूपा, उग्रदंष्ट्री, लता, रम्या, श्यामा, नारी, भद्रा तथा देववीति थे। ॥ ५-२-२३ ॥
