क्वचिच्च दुःसहेन कायाभ्यन्तरवह्निना गृहीतसारः स्वकुटुम्बाय क्रुध्यति ॥ ५-१४-१९ ॥
Sometimes, due to bodily hunger and thirst, the conditioned soul becomes so disturbed that he loses his patience and becomes angry with his own beloved sons, daughters and wife. Thus, being unkind to them, he suffers all the more. ॥ 5-14-19 ॥

कभी-कभी शारीरिक भूख और प्यास से त्रस्त बद्धजीव इतना विचलित हो जाता है कि उसका धैर्य टूट जाता है और वह अपने ही प्रिय पुत्रों, पुत्रियों तथा पत्नी पर रुष्ट हो जाता है। इस प्रकार निष्ठुर होने पर उसकी यातना और भी बढ़ जाती है। ॥ ५-१४-१९ ॥
