तावानयं व्यवहारः सदाविः क्षेत्रज्ञसाक्ष्यो भवति स्थूलसूक्ष्मः । तस्मान्मनो लिङ्गमदो वदन्ति गुणागुणत्वस्य परावरस्य ।। ५-११-७ ।।

sanskrit

The mind makes the living entity within this material world wander through different species of life, and thus the living entity experiences mundane affairs in different forms as a human being, demigod, fat person, skinny person and so forth. Learned scholars say that bodily appearance, bondage and liberation are caused by the mind. ।। 5-11-7 ।।

english translation

मन जीवात्मा को इस संसार में विभिन्न योनियों में फिरता रहता है, जिससे जीवात्मा को मनुष्यों, देवताओं, स्थूल-कृश मनुष्यों इत्यादि विविध रूपों का लौकिक अनुभव होता है। विद्वानों का कथन है कि देह का रूपायन बन्धन तथा मुक्ति का कारण मन ही है। ।। ५-११-७ ।।

tAvAnayaM vyavahAraH sadAviH kSetrajJasAkSyo bhavati sthUlasUkSmaH | tasmAnmano liGgamado vadanti guNAguNatvasya parAvarasya || 5-11-7 ||
