अयं तु ब्रह्मणः कल्पः सविकल्प उदाहृतः । विधिः साधारणो यत्र सर्गाः प्राकृतवैकृताः ॥ २-१०-४६ ॥
This process of creation and annihilation described in summary herein is the regulative principle during the duration of Brahmā’s one day. It is also the regulative principle in the creation of mahat, in which the material nature is dispersed. ॥ 2-10-46 ॥

यहाँ पर सारांश रुप में वर्णित सृष्टि तथा संहार का यह प्रक्रम ब्रह्मा के एक दिन (कल्प) के लिए विधि-विधान स्वरूप है। यही महत्-सृष्टि का भी नियामक-विधान है, जिसमें प्रकृति विसर्जित हो जाती है। ॥ २-१०-४६ ॥
