जिज्ञासितं सुसम्पन्नमपि ते महदद्भुतम् । कृतवान् भारतं यस्त्वं सर्वार्थपरिबृंहितम् ।। १-५-३ ।।

Your inquiries were full and your studies were also well fulfilled, and there is no doubt that you have prepared a great and wonderful work, the Mahābhārata, which is full of all kinds of Vedic sequences elaborately explained. ।। 1-5-3 ।।

english translation

तुम्हारी जिज्ञासाएँ पूर्ण हैं और तुम्हारा अध्ययन भी भलीभाँति पूरा हो चुका है। इसमें संदेह नहीं कि तुमने एक महान् एवं अद्भुत ग्रंथ महाभारत तैयार किया है, जो सभी प्रकार के वैदिक फलों (पुरुषार्थों) की विशद व्याख्या से युक्त है। ।। १-५-३ ।।
