तस्यैव मेऽघस्य परावरेशो व्यासक्तचित्तस्य गृहेष्वभीक्ष्णम् । निर्वेदमूलो द्विजशापरूपो यत्र प्रसक्तो भयमाशु धत्ते ।। १-१९-१४ ।।

sanskrit

The Supreme Personality of Godhead, the controller of both the transcendental and mundane worlds, has graciously overtaken me in the form of a brāhmaṇa’s curse. Due to my being too much attached to family life, the Lord, in order to save me, has appeared before me in such a way that only out of fear I will detach myself from the world. ।। 1-19-14 ।।

english translation

आध्यात्मिक तथा प्राकृत जगतों के नियन्ता भगवान् ने ब्राह्मण-शाप के रूप में मुझ पर अत्यन्त कृपा की है। गृहस्थ जीवन में अत्यधिक आसक्त रहने के कारण, मुझे बचाने के लिए भगवान् मेरे समक्ष इस तरह प्रकट हुए हैं कि मैं भयवश अपने आपको संसार से विरक्त कर लूँ। ।। १-१९-१४ ।।
