II ऋषयऊचुः II त्वयाखलुपुराणानि सेतिहासानिचानघ । आख्यातान्यप्यधीतानि धर्मशास्त्राणियान्युत ।। १-१-६ ।।

The sages said: Respected Sūta Gosvāmī, you are completely free from all vice. You are well versed in all the scriptures famous for religious life, and in the Purāṇas and the histories as well, for you have gone through them under proper guidance and have also explained them. ।। 1-1-6 ।।

english translation

मुनियों ने कहा : हे पूज्य सूत गोस्वामी, आप समस्त प्रकार के पापों से पूर्ण रूप से मुक्त हैं। आप धार्मिक जीवन के लिए विख्यात समस्त शास्त्रों एवं पुराणों के साथ-साथ इतिहासों में निपुण हैं, क्योंकि आपने समुचित निर्देशन में उन्हें पढ़ा है और उनकी व्याख्या भी की है। ।। १-१-६ ।।
