Shiva Purana
मार्गशीर्षार्द्रकायां वा षोडशैरुपचारकैः । तत्तन्मूर्तिशिवं पूज्य तस्य वै पाददर्शनम् ४४ ।
On the Ārdrā day of the Mārgaśīrṣa month, one should worship Lord Shiva with sixteen kinds of offerings (upacāras). By doing so, the devotee will be blessed with the vision of His feet, which grants spiritual and material benefits.
english translation
mArgazIrSArdrakAyAM vA SoDazairupacArakaiH । tattanmUrtizivaM pUjya tasya vai pAdadarzanam 44 ।
