बालार्कसदृशप्रख्या प्रतिवक्त्रं त्रिलोचना ॥ तस्याः पूर्वमुखं सौम्यं स्वाकारसदृशप्रभम् ॥ २१ ॥

The Mūrti shall have the lustre of the rising sun. It shall have three eyes in every face. The face towards the east is gentle and has the refulgence befitting its size and features.

दक्षिणं नीलजीमूतसदृशं घोरदर्शनम् ॥ उत्तरं विद्रुमप्रख्यं नीलालकविभूषितम् ॥ २२ ॥

The southern face resembles the blue cloud and has a terrific appearance. The northern face has the lustre of coral and is bedecked with dark forelocks.

पश्चिमं पूर्णचंद्राभं सौम्यमिंदुकलाधरम् ॥ तदंकमंडलारूढा शक्तिर्माहेश्वरी परा ॥ २३ ॥

The western face is gentle with the lustre of the full moon. Seated on his lap is the great Śakti of Maheśvara.

महालक्ष्मीरिति ख्याता श्यामा सर्वमनोहरा ॥ मूर्तिं कृत्वैवमाकारां सकलीकृत्य च क्रमात् ॥ २४ ॥

She is known as Mahalakshmi and is dark and delightful to all. The idol was thus shaped and the whole was gradually assembled.

मूर्तिमंतमथावाह्य यजेत्परमकारणम् ॥ स्नानार्थे कल्पयेत्तत्र पञ्चगव्यं तु कापिलम् ॥ २५ ॥

Then one should call upon the idolized Lord and worship Him who is the supreme cause. Five kinds of cow's milk and Kapila should be offered there for bathing.
