केचिच्च तत्र त्रिदशा विपन्ना विस्रस्तवस्त्राभरणास्त्रशस्त्राः ॥ निपेतुरुद्भासितदीनमुद्रा मदं च दर्पं च बलं च हित्वा ॥ ७१ ॥
Some fell in adversity with their garments, ornaments, weapons and missiles scattered. Eschewing their pride, arrogance and strength they fell evincing signs of dejection.

सस्मुत्पथप्रस्थितमप्रधृष्यो विक्षिप्य दक्षाध्वरमक्षतास्त्रैः ॥ बभौ गणेशस्स गणेश्वराणां मध्ये स्थितः सिंह इवर्षभाणाम् ॥ ७२ ॥
Destroying Dakṣa’s sacrifice, performed in the wrong way, by means of weapons the invincible lord of Gaṇas shone amidst the leading Gaṇas like the lion in the midst of bulls.
