ये प्रभावं समालोक्यास्माकं परमदुःसहम् ॥ भीता नागालयं याता यातयातेति वादिनः ॥ ६ ॥
Of our unbearable prowess, the Asuras are afraid. They have gone to Pātāla saying, “Run, run”.
english translation
ye prabhAvaM samAlokyAsmAkaM paramaduHsaham ॥ bhItA nAgAlayaM yAtA yAtayAteti vAdinaH ॥ 6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअहो बलमहो तेजो दैत्यवंशक्षयंकरम् ॥ अहो भाग्यं सुमनसामेवं सर्वेऽभ्यवर्णयन् ॥ ७ ॥
Then all of them proclaimed thus: “Wonderful is the strength, splendour and good luck of the gods that has reduced the race of the Daityas.
english translation
aho balamaho tejo daityavaMzakSayaMkaram ॥ aho bhAgyaM sumanasAmevaM sarve'bhyavarNayan ॥ 7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत आविरभूत्तेजः कूटरूपन्तदैव हि ॥ अदृष्टपूर्वं तद्दृष्ट्वा विस्मिता अभवन्सुराः ॥ ८॥
Then a mass of splendour appeared, at the unprecedented sight of which the gods were surprised.
english translation
tata AvirabhUttejaH kUTarUpantadaiva hi ॥ adRSTapUrvaM taddRSTvA vismitA abhavansurAH ॥ 8॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकिमिदं किमिदं चेति रुद्धकण्ठास्समब्रुवन ॥ अजानन्तः परं श्यामानु भावं मानभञ्जनम् ॥ ९॥
Ignorant of the real glory and the intention of the goddess to quell their arrogance, the Asuras said with choking throats “What is this? What is this?”
english translation
kimidaM kimidaM ceti ruddhakaNThAssamabruvana ॥ ajAnantaH paraM zyAmAnu bhAvaM mAnabhaJjanam ॥ 9॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतत आज्ञापयद्देवान्देवानामधिनायकः ॥ यात यूयं परीक्षध्वं याथातथ्येन किन्विति ॥ १०॥
Then the lord Indra ordered the gods—“Go ye all and examine it and ascertain what it is.”
english translation
tata AjJApayaddevAndevAnAmadhinAyakaH ॥ yAta yUyaM parIkSadhvaM yAthAtathyena kinviti ॥ 10॥
