करेणुर्गर्दभं नैव द्वीपिनी शशकं न वा ॥ मृषा वदत भो दैत्यो मृत्युव्यालनियंत्रिताः ॥ ६१ ॥
A female elephant does not take an ass nor does a leopardess take a hare. O Daityas, overcome by the Serpent of Death you speak in vain.
english translation
यूयं प्रयात पातालं युध्यध्वं शक्तिरस्ति चेत् ॥ इति क्रोधकरं वाक्यं श्रुत्वोचुस्ते परस्परम् ॥ ६२ ॥
Descend to Pātāla all of you. If you have the power, fight.” On hearing her provocative words the Asuras said to one another.

अबलां मनसि ज्ञात्वा न हन्मो भवतीं वयम् ॥ अथो स्थिरैहि पञ्चास्ये युद्धेच्छा मानसेऽस्ति चेत् ॥ ६३ ॥
“We do not kill you as you are a woman. But if you desire for battle be ready with your lion.”
english translation
तेषामेवं विवदतां कलहः समवर्द्धत॥ ववृषु समरे बाणा उभयोर्द्दलयोश्शिताः ॥ ६४॥
While they spoke thus the fight ensued. The arrows rained in the battle., sharp arrows from either side.

एवं तैः समरं कृत्वा लीलया परमेश्वरी॥ जघान चण्डमुण्डाभ्यां रक्तबीजं महासुरम्॥ ६५॥
Thus fighting with them sportively the goddess slew the Asura along with Caṇḍa and Muṇḍa.
