ततोतिकोपपूर्णस्य विष्णोश्शंभोश्च वक्त्रतः ॥ तथान्येषां च देवानां शरीरान्निर्गतं महः ॥ ११ ॥
Then a great splendour issued forth from the mouths of the infuriated Viṣṇu and Śiva and from the bodies of other gods.
english translation
tatotikopapUrNasya viSNozzaMbhozca vaktrataH ॥ tathAnyeSAM ca devAnAM zarIrAnnirgataM mahaH ॥ 11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअतीव महसः पुंजं ज्वलन्तं दशदिक्षु च ॥ अपश्यंस्त्रिदशास्सर्वे दुर्गा ध्यानपरायणाः ॥ १२ ॥
The gods who were devoted to meditation on Durgā saw the mass of splendour blazing in all the ten directions.
english translation
atIva mahasaH puMjaM jvalantaM dazadikSu ca ॥ apazyaMstridazAssarve durgA dhyAnaparAyaNAH ॥ 12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसर्वदेवशरीरोत्थं तेजस्तदतिभीषणम् ॥ संघीभूयाभवन्नारी साक्षान्महिषमर्दिनी ॥ १३॥
That highly terrible splendour issuing forth from the bodies of the gods joined together and became a woman Mahiṣamardinī herself.
english translation
sarvadevazarIrotthaM tejastadatibhISaNam ॥ saMghIbhUyAbhavannArI sAkSAnmahiSamardinI ॥ 13॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशंभुतेजस उत्पन्नं मुखमस्याः सुभास्वरम् ॥ याम्येन बाला अभवन्वैष्णवेन च बाहवः ॥ १४॥
Her dazzlingly brilliant face constituted the splendour of Śiva, the hairs the splendour of Yama and the arms the splendour of Viṣṇu.
english translation
zaMbhutejasa utpannaM mukhamasyAH subhAsvaram ॥ yAmyena bAlA abhavanvaiSNavena ca bAhavaH ॥ 14॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptचन्द्रमस्तेजसा तस्याः स्तनयुग्मं व्यजायत॥ मध्यमे न्द्रेण जंघोरू वारुणेन बभूवतुः ॥ १५ ॥
The moon gave birth to a pair of breasts with its effulgence In the middle the thighs were made by Indra and Varuna.

candramastejasA tasyAH stanayugmaM vyajAyata॥ madhyame ndreNa jaMghorU vAruNena babhUvatuH ॥ 15 ॥
