एवं मोहाकुलौ वैश्यपार्थिवौ मुनिसत्तम ॥ जग्मतुर्मुनिवर्यस्य मेधसः सन्निधिन्तदा ॥ ४१॥
O excellent sage, the king and the Vaiśya, both of them equally deluded then approached the sage Medhas.
english translation
स वैश्यराजसहितो नरराजः प्रतापवान् ॥ प्रणनाम महावीरः शिरसा योगिनां वरम् ॥ ४२॥
The valorous king accompanied by the chief of the Vaiśyas bowed his head to the leading Yogin.

बद्ध्वाञ्जलिमिमां वाचमुवाच नृपतिर्मुनिम् ॥ भगवन्नावयोर्मोहं छेत्तुमर्हसि साम्प्रतम् ॥ ४३ ॥
With palms joined in reverence the king spoke to the sage:—“O holy lord, it behoves you now to dispel our delusion.

अहं राजश्रिया त्यक्तो गहनं वनमाश्रितः ॥ तथापि हृतराज्यस्य तोषो नैवाभिजायते ॥ ४४ ॥
Abandoned by the royal glory I have resorted to this dense forest. Still I am not content and happy since my kingdom has been taken away.
english translation
अयं च वैश्यस्स्वजनैर्दाराद्यैर्निष्कृतो गृहात् ॥ तथाप्येतस्य ममता न निवृत्तिं समश्नुते ॥ ४५ ॥
This Vaiśya has been expelled from his house by his people, wife and others. Still his sense of affinity and kinship with them does not go off.
