युधिष्ठिरेण संपृष्टो भीष्मो धर्मभृतां वरः।। शरशय्यास्थितः प्रोचे तच्छृणुष्व वदामि ते ।। ९।।

sanskrit

Bhishma the foremost among the upholders of righteousness was inquired by Yudhisthira Standing on the bed of the arrows he spoke to me Listen to what I shall tell you.

english translation

yudhiSThireNa saMpRSTo bhISmo dharmabhRtAM varaH|| zarazayyAsthitaH proce tacchRNuSva vadAmi te || 9||
