समुद्रं पर्वतवनं जंगमाजंगमैर्वृतम्।। श्राद्धानि पुष्टिकामैश्च ये करिष्यंति मानवाः।। ५६।।

sanskrit

The sea is a forest of mountains surrounded by movable and immovable things Those men who will perform shraddhas for the sake of nourishment.

english translation

samudraM parvatavanaM jaMgamAjaMgamairvRtam|| zrAddhAni puSTikAmaizca ye kariSyaMti mAnavAH|| 56||

तेभ्यः पुष्टिप्रदाश्चैव पितरः प्रीणितास्सदा ।। श्राद्धे ये च प्रदास्यंति त्रीन्पिंडान्नामगोत्रतः ।। ५७ ।।

The forefathers were always pleased with them and gave them nourishment And those who offer three bodies in shraddha according to their names and clan.

tebhyaH puSTipradAzcaiva pitaraH prINitAssadA || zrAddhe ye ca pradAsyaMti trInpiMDAnnAmagotrataH || 57 ||

सर्वत्र वर्तमानास्ते पितरः प्रपितामहाः ।। भावयिष्यंति सततं श्राद्धदानेन तर्पिताः ।। ५८ ।।

These fathers and great-grandfathers are present everywhere They will always meditate and be satisfied with the gift of shraddha.
