दारां तस्य तु विषये विश्वामित्रो महातपाः ॥ संत्यज्य सागरानूपे चचार विपुलं तपः ॥ ५५॥

Viśvāmitra of great penance abandoned his wife in that land and performed extensive penance in the marshy foreshore of the ocean.

dArAM tasya tu viSaye vizvAmitro mahAtapAH ॥ saMtyajya sAgarAnUpe cacAra vipulaM tapaH ॥ 55॥
